About the car

«maloja» is the second race car built by AMZ. After the debut season we optimized the choice of materials, leading to increased usage of carbon fibre reinforced plastics in the 2008 season. The chassis is based on a CFRP monocoque (wet lamination) with a load-bearing engine for the first time. The suspension's wishbones are also made out of CFRP, implementing a spring system design using pull rods at the front and push rods in the rear. As albula before, maloja is driven by a four-cylinder Suzuki combustion engine with 600 ccm. Its powered could be increased to 66 kW (90 hp).
